Edinburgh has a long history of witchcraft, occult magic, and stage sorcery.  This tour combines all three as we take you through the closes and wynds over Hallowe’en weekend to discover what we used to do to witches in the city, the vile Wizard of the Westbow, where Castle Dracula used to stand, the people who talked to ghosts, the magician’s dead double, and more.

The tour also features live magic performances from a local Bizarrist magician and Mind Reader in the city’s first walking tour to include live spooky magic as standard.

All of this concludes with entry to the Edinburgh Dungeon.

The price is just £19.75 per person and is strictly over 18s only.

Enjoy history, horror, magic or witchcraft? Get all of this in “Trick or Treat: The Dark Magic and Dungeon Tour”

* Tickets must be bought online.  There will be no sales in person.  When you order tickets online you will not be sent physical tickets. Instead, please bring your purchase confirmation or ID with the name of the purchaser.

** Exact location will be revealed to participants in the days before the tour.  It will be Royal Mile area but we're keeping it secret until nearer the time.

Please remember this is a walking tour and sensible clothing should be worn.   Consideration should be given to the fact this tour covers hills, cobbles and narrow areas.

Entry to the Dungeons is factored into the ticket- there is no discount or alternative for skipping either the tour or Dungeon sections.

We will start on time, and there will be no refunds if people are late and unable to locate the tour group.  Total time of event including tour and Dungeon will be approximately 2 hours 45 minutes.

There will be approximately 15 minutes between the conclusion of the walking section and the beginning of the Dungeon section.

The tour is outside and does not require a mask.  At the time of writing, we are also not covered by the proposed vaccine passport system.  You must check the Edinburgh Dungeon website for their own restrictions that apply to the Dungeon section, as these could change quickly:

If the tour has to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions that are at present unknown, a refund will be given.  If the tour can go ahead but at a reduced capacity due to new covid rules, the most recent purchases will be the first to be refunded.
